Riverton’s Paxton leads NC State at ACC Tournament

With a five under par at the Atlantic Coast Conference Golf Tournament, Riverton Freshman Easton Paxton led the Wolf Pack team to an overall sixth place finish. Individually, Paxton finished in a tie for ninth and was the highest ranked NC State golfer at the event, held at the Old North State Club course in New London, North Carolina. In high school, Paxton and his Wolverine teammates won four consecutive Class 4A State Championships.

Rustler Golf Tournament A Success; Prom wins fourth tournament this year

Central Wyoming College hosted it’s Spring Golf Tournament on Thursday and Friday of last week at the Riverton Country Club.  Both the men’s and women’s teams finished well at home. CWC’s Bradley secures spot in CNFR Barrel Racing; Two Steer Wrestlers have chance to clinch at UW Rodeo

The Rustlers traveled to Casper this past weekend to compete at the Ropin’ and Riggin’ Days Rodeo, hosted by the Casper T-Birds.  After the dust had settled, Karson Bradley was able to secure a spot to compete at the CNFR with still one rodeo remaining in the regular season.  Karson was the only one on the women’s team to make the short round on Sunday.  She placed third in the long round with a 15.17 second run in the Barrel Racing, followed up with a 15.13 in the short round which placed fourth in the round and fourth in the average.  More […]

Poke golfer scores career high finish at BYU PING Cougar Classic in Provo

Led by a career-best finish from freshman Tyler Severin, the Wyoming Cowboys held on to eighth place at the BYU PING Cougar Classic on Saturday.  Severin fired a final round 70 (-2) to conclude the tournament with a 54-hole total of 214 (-2) and tie for 18th place.  Wyoming finished the tournament with a final team score of 871 (+7).  Junior Dan Starzinski finished one stroke back of Severin at 215 (-1) and tied for 22nd. Thursday afternoon saw the Wyoming Cowboys conduct a non-padded practice in the Indoor Practice Facility in preparation for their second major scrimmage of the Spring this coming Saturday.Saturday’s scrimmage will be closed to the public.
