Sheriff’s Monday Blotter: Cabin Burglarized; Alleged Child Abuse under investigation; Motorcycle Stolen

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reported over the past 24 hours ending at 7 a.m. on 5/10/22, the emergency dispatch center there had taken 58 calls for service. During that same time, the county’s ambulance service was dispatched 22 times and there was one fire department call. 

Two persons were booked into the detention center in Lander for charges including one alcohol-related charge, and two misdemeanor charges. The detention center currently has 178 inmates that it is responsible for, with 173 in house and five inmates being housed outside of the facility.

Patrol Calls:

A cabin in Atlantic City on West Main Street Twas burglarized, according to a report filed on the 9th at 9:17 a.m. 

The Department of Family Services reported a potential Child Abuse in Hudson that is now under investigation. The call came in at 9:31 a.m. on Monday. 

Federal Auto Recycling reported a case of littering: a boat was dropped off at their South Federal Boulevard location and the owners left. The call came in a 9:39. 

A reported fraud over a PayPal account was reported in the Lander area at 2:33 p.m. 

A red Honda CRF 450R motorcycle was reported stolen from an address in Dubois on Monday at 4:48 p.m. 

Deputies assisted the BIA Wind River Police Department with a vehicle pursuit with a stolen vehicle Monday at 9:58 p.m. in the 1400 block of the 17 Mile Road/WYO highway 137.

A Lander resident called at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday to report a stolen vehicle. The incident is under investigation
