Fremont County Heritage Festival… Same Fun, Different Time

By Jeff Rebitski, Staff Writer

The Riverton Heritage Festival, with all its livestock, fiddling food and fun will be held this week starting on June 1at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. The Events are listed on the website and are as follows…

  • CORN HOLE TOURNAMENT
  • DUTCH OVEN COOK OFF
  • FIDDLE CONTEST
  • TRADE SHOW
  • BULL RIDING EXTRAVAGANZA
  • FRIENDS OF FAIR JACKPOT

All this combined with the mingling of friends and family and you have a recipe for excitement and fun for all. During this time, you can enjoy the Trade show in the Fremont Center and the Friends of the Fair Jackpot Livestock Show while listening to fiddle music and smelling the results of the Ductch oven Cookoff while you await the bone breaking, cowboy bashing, bull riding extravaganza in the main arena.

Tragically, the carnival was unable to secure enough workers to provide sufficient safe play, so they have backed out. We are sad about this, but don’t let that stop you from attending the kick off to summer event that is sure to provide entertainment for the whole family. It all starts June 3 and will run through the 5th with the climax bull riding on Saturday night.

Following this weekend’s events, The Wyoming Gem and Mineral Show will be held in the Fremont Center starting on June 11.

Stay connected to the Fremont County Fair website and The Ranger for details about the upcoming events.
