More new Virus infections reported locally on Tuesday

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 20 new confirmed infections of the Covid-19 virus in Fremont County yesterday, moving the total number of active cases here to 751. Four new cases were confirmed in Hot Springs County where there are now 78 active cases and there was one new confirmed case in Washakie County where the count of active cases today is at 166.

According to the Wyoming Hospital Association there are now 13 Covid patients in Fremont County, seven in Lander and six in Riverton. There are three patients hospitalized in Worland and currently none in Thermopolis. Four intensive care beds are in use in Lander, none in Riverton, Thermopolis and Worland. One patient is on a ventilator in Lander.


To avoid spreading the virus during the Thanksgiving Holiday, public health official recommend small family gatherings, wearing masks, washing hands frequently and social distancing as much as possible.

There are now 11,861 total active cases in Wyoming and 224 people statewide are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 202 deaths statewide attributed to the virus. In Fremont County there have been 27 deaths and in Washakie County there have been seven deaths.
