Shoshoni’s Homecoming game a rout over Greybull

Quarterback Triston Truempler had an unofficial total 226 yards of rushing and passing and Kaden Dower rolled up 202 yards of total offense to lead the Shoshoni Wranglers over the Greybull Buffs Thursday night 63-8. Truempler threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two others while Dower had one rushing and one reception for a TD in the lopsided homecoming game. Alex Mills caught two passes for TDs and rushed for another and Kade Fike added a score for the home team, moving Shoshoni’s overall record to 5-2 and 2-1 for a solid second place in conference behind Rocky Mountain.

If not for a 64-yard dash by Irving Castro in the first period, Greybull was limited to only four yards rushing, and nine yards passing to the state’s Class 1A 9-man number one defense.  Besides that one run Greybull’s other offense came in return yardage with 42 yards.

Overall the Wranglers had unofficially 560 yards against the hapless Buffs while Greybull amassed only 119 yards.

Shoshoni closes out the regular season one week from tonight against Riverside at home.

Other local games tonight include Riverton at Worland with Erick Pauley, Cody Beers and Brett Watson on the KTAK, 93.9 broadcast the live-stream video. Lander Valley hosts Rawlins, Mountain View visits Thermopolis and Wind River travels to Cowley to face Rocky Mountain. Saturday it’s Encampment at Dubois.
