George B. Dodge, 65, of Arapahoe passed away at his home on Sunday, February 9, 2020. A rosary will be recited and wake held at Great Plains Hall on Thursday, February 13, 2020, beginning at 7:00 pm. The funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 14, 2020, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Arapaho Catholic Cemetery.
George Benjamin Dodge was born in Riverton, WY on October 18, 1954 to Mary Patricia (Bell) and Daniel Dodge. He was given his Native American Name of Kills on Prairie. He attended Arapahoe School, Riverton High School, and Riverton Alternative School.
He worked at Style Homes, as a Seismographer, and was a carpenter by trade.
George enjoyed playing machines, watching and listening to sports on the TV and radio, his favorite all-time team was the Denver Broncos. He loved being with his family, especially all his grandchildren.
He is survived by mother, Mary Patricia Dodge; siblings, Cynthia Dodge, Veronica (Paul) Lawson, Delbert Dodge, David Dodge; children, Darilyn Dodge and 5 grandchildren and Chris (Andrea) Monroe and 5 grandchildren; God Child, Mykayla Lott; nephews, Michael Monroe and Family, Brian Dodge and Family, Clinton Monroe Sr. and Family,Kent Carpenter and Family; nieces, Delia(Buffy) Dodge and family, Cathy Dodge and Family, Christina Antelope and Family, Maria Delgado and Family, Patsy Lawson, Micheala Dodge, and Family, Jessica Lawson. The families of Vincent (Ethal) Bell, Anthony(Florence) Bell, Anna(Bell) Brown, Berindine(Bell) Means,Mabelle(Bell) Sunrhodes, Theodore Bell, Edward Bell, Lawrence Bell, Jake Bell, Billy Bell, Mary Wolfrang, Charles Dodge Sr. Albert Dodge Sr., Bell, Dodge, Posey, Goggles,Washington Warren, Underwood, Redman, Soliderwolf, Long Soldier, Means, White Antelope, Bearing, and Potter families.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Dodge; Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Mary Agnes (Posey) Bell and Issac White Bell and Anne (Goggles) Dodge and Benjamin Dodge; brother Daniel (Jimmy) Dodge; sisters, Elisabeth(Dodge) WhiteFeather, Marcella(Dodge) Monroe, Edna Dodge, and Rose Mary Dodge; nephews, John WhiteFeather, Robert(Bob) Monroe III and Mathew(Matt) Lawson; and niece- Bernadette(Bernie) WhiteFeather.
