Tuesday February 18 Photographs and Oral Histories from the Wind River Reservation: Sources for Historic and Archaeological Information  

Fremont County photographer and author, Sara Wiles,uses the information found in oral histories, old photographs, locations of historical events, and buildings in historical and archaeological investigations on the Wind River Reservation and Fremont County to  present details about missions, boarding schools, homesites, and early settlements at 7:15 p.m. at the Hudson Town Hall. This free public program is sponsored by the Fremont County Archaeological Society.

Biographical information

Sara Wiles is a photographer and writer who has worked in Fremont County, Wyoming since the 1970’s. Two books of photos and essays have been published by the University of Oklahoma Press – Arapaho Journeys (2011) and The Arapaho Way (2019). Her photographs have been exhibited widely both in the United States and internationally. Her photographs and books have received many awards, including from the Wyoming Historical and the Wyoming Arts Council.
