Trail Lake access delayed Tuesday-Wednesday

Helicopter operations may slow access to Trail Lake Trailhead July 9 & 10

DUBOIS, WY—July 8, 2019— The Wind River District of the Shoshone National Forest will be conducting helicopter operations at the Trail Lake Trailhead during daylight hours on both July 9th and 10th.

While access to trailhead parking, public restrooms, public corrals, and all Forest System trails will remain open to the public during this time, Forest users can expect short delays when entering or leaving the trailhead on Road # 411 while operations are ongoing. We ask that stock users exercise caution when traveling in and around the area.

The area immediately to the southeast of the public corrals will be closed to parking and dispersed camping through July 10th. This is being done to create a safe location for helicopter operations to occur.
