LPD caught two shoplifters, called to Chickens on the lam

The Lander Police Department is investigating the theft of a lawn mower valued at $200 from a resident on North Fifth Street.

A woman called the LPD to complain that three brown chickens were loose in her yard on Del Street.

A bicycle was reported stolen from the National Outdoor Leadership School’s Nobel Hotel Building on North Third.

Two shoplifters were caught in the act at the Maverik Country Store when they attempted to steal liquor from the business. The two, identified as Chasity Makeshine and William Spoonhunter, both of Ethete, were cited for shoplifting.

A sub-woofer speaker was taken from a truc on Friday after a window was broken out to gain entry.
