Thanks to the efforts of maintenance crews from the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Wind River Canyon Highway is open again today.

WYDOT workers from Shoshoni and Thermopolis worked all day Thursday chipping away at the boulder with hydraulic hammers to break it into manageable pieces.

Drivers traveling through the Wind River Canyon should be alert for any additional fallen rock and material loosened by the rains of the last week.
