Victim in Fort Washakie April 20th Rollover was intoxicated

A Verdict and Case Docket from the Fremont County Coroner’s Office has revealed that a 28-year-old Fort Washakie man was highly intoxicated when he crashed his vehicle April 20th on Shipton Lane just west of the Fort Washakie School.

The verdict ruled the death of Garen Sankey, Jr., to be accidental caused by “blunt force and crushing trauma due to a single vehicle rollover with partial ejection”. A toxicology report indicated that Sankey’s blood alcohol level was 0.453 g/100 ml. The legal limit for intoxication in Wyoming is 0.08.
