RPD: Tuesday was one for the dogs; and drive-through pizza

The Riverton Police Department responded to 35 calls for service on Tuesday. There were six arrests reported, one citation issued and one subject declared as a runaway.

From the call log… Police were advised of an aggressive dog who charged a mom and her child on the way to school in the 700 block of North 12th East. It was reported there was no fence in the yard to contain the dog.

Another dog, believed to be a German Shepard, was reported to be chasing a bicyclist on Mary Ann Drive.

Yet another dog was reported to be attacking a caged squirrel in the 500 block of Spire Drive.

At 2:58 p.m. a vehicle crashed into the Caesar’s Pizza Store at 11-4 North Federal. There were no injuries to any of the employees inside. The vehicle crashed through one wall and a large window. A report on the incident is pending.

A man who was allegedly beaten up by three other individuals refused help from police and was ruled as a non-compliant assault victim. The incident is under investigation

Arrested 41-year-old male from Ethete Doug Bigmedicine for Criminal Trespass and Open Container

Issued citation to 57-year-old male from Riverton for Dispensing Alcohol to an intoxicated person

Arrested 38-year-old female from Kinnear, Charity Bassett for open container and DWUI with Child Passenger

A 15-year-old female was signed as a runaway

Arrested 53-year-old male from Riverton, Ronald Brown for two Riverton Municipal Warrants and Public Intoxication

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
