Wind River Range Snowpack holding near normal

The Natural Resources Conservation Service in Casper is currently reporting the state’s Mountain SNOTELs automated precipitation sites are reading 103 percent of the 30-year-median with a basin high of 125 percent in the Madison River Basin and a low of 65 percent in the Cheyenne River Basin.  Last year the state was at 119 percent, and at 131percent in 2017.

The Wind River Basin snowpack fell three points from last week with the snow water content recorded at 97 percent of the median. The Sweetwater River Basin also fell three points to 91 percent of the median.
