A Dubois woman was injured after her late model Buick slammed into the pup trailer of a gasoline tanker Friday afternoon. The crash was reported on Highway 26 just east of the Diversion Dam Road west of Morton.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol State Troopers on the scene, the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash. The highway was closed from its intersection with Highway 287 on the West and just west of Kinnear on the East, creating a lengthy detour around the site.

The truck driver was not injured. With a full load, the driver had to return to town to unload, and then return to pump the fuel from the damaged pup trailer. There was a minor leak of fuel following the crash, but no fire.
