It’s no April Fools. Today, April 1, is Wyoming Veterans Welcome Home Day. The event will be celebrated by Governor Mark Gordon and the Wyoming Veterans Commission with observances in Cody, Casper and Cheyenne.
All Wyoming veterans, especially those from the Korean War and Vietnam War who were not properly thanked upon their return home, receive a special “welcome home” today and thanks from a grateful state.
The ceremonies will feature remarks by the Governor, Wyoming Adjutant General Greg Porter, Wyoming Veterans Commission Chairman Keith Davidson, and other veterans and local officials.
