fatal crash(Wright) – Fatigued driving is being investigated as a contributing factor in the second highway fatality in Wyoming for 2017.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a teenaged male was westbound on state highway 387 about 28 miles west of Wright early Monday morning when the car he was driving drifted over the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.

The eastbound driver died in the crash while the teen was hospitalized in Gillette.

After the crash, the eastbound vehicle burst into flames but authorities say the driver died of his injuries before the fire.

The Highway Patrol will release the victim’s name when his identity  is confirmed through DNA testing.
