  • South Pass City’s Carissa Gold Mine Tours every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 2pm. The tour begins at the South Pass City Dance Hall. Tours Are limited to 25 people. Reservations are Highly Recommended! The tour is not appropriate for children under 8 & those who cannot negotiate steep stairs. The Fee for Wyoming Residents is $2, non residents is $4, under 18 is free.  For more info call 332-3684



On Monday at 6pm at the LVHS Auditorium and again on Tuesday at 3pm at the Lander Children’s Museum Dr. Angela Speck will give a free Eclipse presentation that will include why this eclipse is so important, what challenges are faced in planning for the eclipse and the numerous opportunities for the general public to be engaged in science of the eclipse.



** Every Tuesday night there will be Northern Arapaho Native American Song and Dance at the Wind River Hotel & Casino from 6-7pm


**Learn to Square Dance every Tuesday night from 8-9:30 at the Rustic Pine Tavern in Dubois.  Adults are $3, 12 and under is $2.  For more information call 455-2556


On Tuesday, join the Bighorn Sheep center for a driving tour and short trek to a local bighorn sheep viewing area.  Advanced registration is required, children under 10 require adult supervision.  Meet at the center at 8am.  For more details call 455-3429



** Every Wednesday evening Lander will host Traditional Native American Indian Dancing by the Eagle Spirit Dancers at the Museum of the American West starting at 7pm.  Benches are provided but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs.  This is a free event.  For more details call 335-8778



On Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm the Dubois Museum and the Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speaker Series “How This Place is Home” presented by Barbara Bogart.  This exploration of how the landscape affects the people that live here.  This is a free event, to register call 455-2284



On Friday at 9am the Dubois Museum and the McDonalds Childrens Exploration program present:  Beginning Birding.  Children will be introduced to the rewarding and lifelong hobby of bird watch and identifying birds.  .  This is open to children of all ages.  For details call 455-2284


**The Dubois Rodeo is every Friday night through the summer at 7:30 at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena.  Entries for the rodeo are on Thursday nights, call 856-1555



**Jam Sessions at the Lander Bake Shop are on Saturdays 12-2. All acoustic instruments, kinds of music, ages and abilities.  Everyone is welcome!


The Wyoming State Gem and Mineral Show is on Saturday from 9am-6pm and on Sunday 9am-3pm at the Fremont County Fairgrounds.


The United Methodist Church in Riverton will have  a Nifty Fifty Dance, BBQ and Car Show on Saturday.  Car show begins at 4pm, with food and music to follow, the dance will be from 7 to 9:30pm.  Admission is $15 each or two for $25, limited tickets available, call 856-2544.


The Eastern Shoshone Indian Days this weekend.  There will be Powwows and Indian Rodeo & Relay teams.  This is Wyoming’s largest powwow with over 700 dancers and 15 profession drum groups.  Tentative grand entry times are Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 1pm and 6pm and Sunday at 1pm.  Rodeo and Relay races will be Saturday morning.  All happening at 19 Old Wind River Highway.  For details call 332-2646

The HSC Republican Committee meeting is on Monday at 6:30pm at the HSC Annex


On Monday at 7pm  The Fantasticks Musical is present the UW Department of Theater and Dance.  At the HSC High School Auditorium. 


The Washakie County Conservation District meeting is on  Monday at 7pm at the Worland Conservation Office



**The Thermopolis Rotary Club Meets on Tuesdays at noon at Days Inn Western Room


The Hot Springs Travel & Tourism meeting is on Tuesday at 1pm at the HSC Museum


The HSC Museum Board meeting is on Tuesday at 3pm at the HSC Museum


The HS County Commissioners meeting is at 4pm on Tuesday at the County Annex


The HSC Fire District meeting is on Tuesday at 6pm at the Fire hall

The HSC Soil Conservation District meeting is on Thursday at 7pm at 601 Broadway



Friday and Saturday is the annual Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous PRCA rodeo.  On Friday the gates and vendor alley open at 4pm and the Patriotic Night rodeo performance is at 8pm.  On Saturday there is a parade in downtown at 10am, the Chuck Mead Memorial Pack Horse Races are at 1pm and the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo is at 8pm.  There is also a Street dance after the rodeo on Saturday in Downtown.  Cowboy church is on Sunday at 9am at the fairgrounds


The Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation Flight is on Saturday from 9am-noon.  8 pre-selected Veterans from the Wyoming Pioneer Home will take to the skies in this honorary flight
